About Katy

My parents always told me, “When you know what you passionate about, you will know what you should be doing with your life.” I have spent my life wondering if those words could ever truly apply to me. Although I questioned, I continued to look for such a job. Sure I changed my major 6 times, but I knew that someday I would find the job that was right for me, the good fit.

I have always known that I enjoyed working with students, and that I had a gift that enabled them to enjoy working with me. It was undoubtedly a gift God blessed me with, and my career choices reflect my desire to find a calling that embraces my passion for working with students. I have worked in churches, group homes, and school districts all centered on making a difference in the lives of students.

I was also passionate about our military and supporting our military forces, perhaps because of the military history in my family, but I didn’t know how to fulfill this part of my calling. Sure I had a great “Support Our Troops” sign in my front yard, but I’ve always wanted to do more.

And then I found the perfect fit, the job that would allow me to use both of my passions, and I found it in Club Beyond®. Club Beyond® will allow me to work with students whose parents are in the military. I had no idea how many kids lived on military bases, and how many of them receive no exposure to God’s teachings on a weekly basis. I also had no idea that God would guide me to such a perfect opportunity.

I have found the perfect fit and feel blessed everyday for this opportunity. God has answered my prayers and I am ready for the journey. Your support will help make this possible. I hope to leave for Europe in the very near future.
